1900s Cut Glass Biscuit Jar

This antique biscuit jar topped with a silver lid and integrated handle, was made in the early 1900s. This glass barrel is composed of clear crystal decorated with a diamond cut accenting decoration and a sterling silver handle and lid. The handle and lid are both clearly hallmarked with the English lion passant for Sterling Silver, and the maker’s mark of Mappin & Webb, established in 1889, with its origins dating back to a silversmithing workshop in Sheffield in 1775.
