This vintage 58-piece porcelain dinner service was discovered by Aerin at a flea market in Paris, France. A rare find, it was created in the famed Chantilly factory, north of Paris, which is no longer in existence. The Prince de Condé established the factory at his château at Chantilly in 1730. It was one of the first to make porcelain, which was used by the royal family and French aristocracy. Hand painted with a graceful carnation motif known as l’œillet, which became popular during the French Regency period, the classic blue and white set includes plates, bowls, and serveware with a raised basket weave detail. A beautiful way to add French elegance to a table setting, the set features 20 dinner plates, 18 dessert plates, 12 soup bowls, a tureen, two round serving bowls, a large oval platter, a gravy boat, two oval hors d’oeuvres plates, and a leaf hors d’oeuvres plate.
