Coffee Cup and Saucer

This charming coffee cup and saucer with gold detailing on the handle and interior is part of an iconic coffee service in a stylized fruit shape with pleasingly curved handles and a subtly ribbed texture. The full set was originally designed in 1929 by architect Josef Hoffmann, a member of the Vienna Secession alongside artists such as Gustav Klimt, and founder of the legendary Wiener Werkstätte design movement. This reinterpretation of the original is made and hand painted by Augarten, the Viennese porcelain manufacturer, founded in 1718.
