Islands 441 Watercolor

Islands 441 was painted exclusively for Aerin Lauder by the American artist, Richard Dupont (b. 1968, New York City). This work on paper depicts a scene of swimmers and surfers in the ocean with dash-like strokes capturing the reflection of light on the water’s surface, and a yellow background evoking the warmth of the sun, creating a connection with nature.

Dupont’s works are included in the collections of numerous museums including The Museum of Modern Art (MoMA), The Whitney Museum of American Art, The Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, The Cleveland Museum of Art, The Brooklyn Museum, and The New York Public Library Print Collection, among many others. In 2014, he was the recipient of the Museum of Arts and Design (MAD) Visionary Award.
